AVALON FLEX – a comfort-class residential complex in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Lviv: four buildings of 9–10 storeys and 393 apartments. The architecture is restrained – symmetry, simple volumes, a quiet facade palette and continuous lines of open terraces.
An in-situ reinforced concrete frame, external walls in ceramic block with mineral wool insulation on top. The glass-balustraded terraces run the perimeter and turn the corners: these are cantilevered slab sections outside the frame line – different loads and different reinforcement from a typical floor.
The courtyard holds an ornamental lake with a seating area and an internal park with walkways and planting. The ground floors are given over to commercial space: shops, a pharmacy, a salon or an office.
