KASKAD RESIDENCE – a large comfort-class residential complex by Intergal-Bud in the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv, on Prychalna Street. Cascading architecture, upper-floor apartments with terraces, a closed courtyard – and a two-hundred-metre walk to the Dnipro.
Built on an in-situ reinforced concrete frame, which leaves apartments free to be replanned or combined. External walls in ceramic block with mineral wool insulation, and panoramic low-emissivity glazing, hold the internal climate steady through the year.
Independent heating and standby generators keep the lifts and the water running through outages, and the fitted-out shelters are sized for every resident. The courtyard is closed to through traffic – cars go to the underground and surface car parks.
