Lysenytska

LYSENYTSKA – a low-rise residential complex in the green part of the Lychakivskyi district of Lviv, next to forest parkland. Two four-storey buildings holding 142 apartments of 39 to 109 m², with underground parking for 62 cars.

Brick walls with mineral wool insulation and south-facing elevations do the work on energy performance without giving up large windows. The accessible roofs and open terraces needed separate attention: a roof people walk out onto carries different loads, and needs waterproofing and drainage details of its own.

The roof slab over the underground car park becomes the courtyard: the grounds stay pedestrian, with play and sports areas and space for bicycles and prams, and part of the seating lifted onto the roof.
