SAFE TOWN – a comfort-class residential complex at the corner of Sadova and Kulparkivska streets in Lviv, built on the city-within-a-city idea. Seven sections of varying height behind a curved, multi-level facade that keeps the apartment layouts varied.
The building stands on a podium with 200 underground parking spaces, on an in-situ reinforced concrete frame. Holding residential sections, parking and commercial floors inside one load-bearing system, with loads arriving unevenly, is what made the structural design worth working through in detail.
The grounds follow a car-free courtyard principle: entirely pedestrian, with walkways, play and sports areas, enclosed yards and round-the-clock security. The lower levels hold commercial units for shops, cafés and services.
